This was made in serato studio, (although out of my usual comfort zone) it is edm, (i usually do house (or try to), dubstep, and dnb) and was made with nothing but drum kits, no automation, just drum kits. A creation (as always with audiosauna, in particular the emulation of the yamaha dx21 that is their fm synth) similar to a snare, except fm. As you can expect, being a synthesized snare rather than a real one, this does have an approximation of pitches. This is the fourth of the snare drums i elected to export. As one might guess from the name, it is also the 4th in order of pitch (naturally, lowest to highest. ).

Created on ableton. Used ni studio drummer garage kit w/custom effect rack to give it a gritty, tape-y sound. Do with it as you please.

Triplet drum beat at 110 bpm, heavy swing feel. The sound has been treated with moderate eq and compression. The timing is not the most accurate; the suitability of this sample would depend on the importance of that.

This is a realistic snare i've made mixing various sounds. This time it sounds fatter.

You can put this audio file in a splicer to make custom drum beats.

A breakbeat i done at 150 bpm. Done in caustic 3 on the beatbox used the r1000 drum kit.

Just some sample hits from my drum kit. I left them totally raw so you can add your own processing, reverbs, delays, whatever. The "just the room mic" could be especially fun to nuke, mangle and/or distort. I performed and recorded all of these samples in my studio. So slice & dice, hack & slash, scoop & loop, smash & bash. Two young men, one on a drum kit, his friend with a cow bell, improvising percussion in a square in copenhagen. Recorded with a hand-held mp3 player. After a few minutes, i walked away, so you'll hear the drumming get fainter and conversations of other pedestrians and shoppers in danish.

This is a low quality recording from a panasonic dvx camcorder microphone. This is a recording of random drum beats. Because of the low quality recording, i have not separated any of the beats, and have faded one into the other. The drum shells are spaun, and the cymbals are a mixture of zildjian and paiste.
